engagement celebrations

Dress: Forever New  Wedges: Tony Bianco  Watch: Mimco
Lipstick: MAC Girl About Town  Nails: OPI Miami Beet

Last night was the engagement party of our two closest friends, and it was such an amazing night.  It alternated between pouring and swelteringly hot, and as I had to run back and forth between the bar and the party, I got absolutely soaked.  Luckily these photos were taken before it bucketed down, so my hair and dress are still dry.  Had such a great time though!

purchased: winter wardrobe pt. 1

I went a little bit crazy today, spending money for Japan was burning a hole in my bank account, and as Hong Kong may be a little further away than originally thought due to refunds taking a while to arrive, I bought a few things to start my winter wardrobe.

Considering how much I bought, I didn't spend too much money!  Very happy I've scratched several things off my wishlist.

Tees and a tank from the Supre sale, only $5 each!

Bardot black coated skinny jeans.  Love the zips at the ankles.

Sussan grey oversized knit. This is sooo warm and snuggly, and exactly what I was looking for.  Only $60!  I shall venture into Sussan more often.

Bardot sheer cream shirt.

Aaaand an Asos order, which, with the 20% off code and free shipping, only came to $70!

River Island leopard print pleated skirt

Vila black leather skirt.  This was the very last one left, it was in my size, and only 25 pounds.  Meant to be.

review: ulta3 fever pt. 2 (+ some others)

I finally found Ulta3 Gold Rush Fever and Royal Fever today!  I also may have picked up a couple of others too (I have no willpower in the face of $2 nail polish).

Gold Rush Fever

Royal Fever

 Burgundy.  Love this, it has hidden red shimmer.  So pretty.

Silver Grey.  I bought this purely because I love how Alicia from Sea of Ghosts wears silver polish.  This isn't quite what I was after, I think it's too light for my pale skin.  Oh well.

outfit post: high tea

Valerie Tolosa violet motif dress;  Ferragamo black patent Varina ballet flats;  Hermes clic clac;

Today went to a Vogue Meet at The Tea Room at the Queen Victoria Building.  It was a lovely morning, and great to meet new people and put faces and real names to screen names!  Thanks girls <3

I decided to pull out this dress that I bought years ago and have only worn once (I'm sensing a pattern here).  It's slightly too big around the bust area as Valerie Tolosa sizing is huge, but other than that it's a cute little dress and I don't know why I don't wear it more often!  I love the print.

Please excuse my awful split ends in the second pic!  I'm in dire need of a trim.

outfit post: anniversary date

Today was the boy's and my anniversary, so we went on an old-fashioned dinner and movie date.  It's hard to believe that 8 years ago today, we were two shy teenagers hanging out at the Coke machine during PE!

Rodarte for Target lace & tulle dress;  Tony Bianco 'Dodge' black suede ankle boots;

We saw No Strings Attached at the movies, and I really enjoyed it!  It was funny, and not too cheesy, and surprisingly, I loved Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher together!  Weird.

These are the roses my boy bought me, he surprised me out the front of my office this afternoon with them!  They perfectly matched my nail polish, which he said was just a coincidence.  Sure sure.

purchased: stripey

I loved this Country Road knit when I first saw it in a catalogue in January, and when I found myself with the last one at Myer today, I had to get it.  I had a gift card which made it much more worthwhile though...

Ahhh I just love it!!  I can imagine myself living in it in autumn and winter, with skinny trousers, maxi skirts, leather pencil skirts, peg-leg trousers...everything!
